UVCI ACCUEILLE 11 NEW HEADS
The Virtual University of Côte d’Ivoire (UVCI) hosted a new promotion of professors in a number of 11 professors in several disciplines within its faculty on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, marking a significant step in its commitment to providing quality education and accessible to all.
During a ceremony held in its conference room, the President of UVCI, Professor KONÉ TIEMOMAN presented the new professors, whose skills and expertise promise to strengthen the academic offer of the university. These teachers, from various areas of specialization, will bring an innovative and diversified perspective to online and distance learning. During the ceremony, the President of UVCI welcomed the presence of the Vice-President in charge of Research and External Relations of the University of Bondoukou. He then made the presentation of the institution he directs to the newcomers and provided advice so that their integration is as perfect as possible.
The ceremony brought together administrative and technical personnel. It was an opportunity for the president to recall the importance of continuing teacher training in a constantly evolving academic environment. The president urged our new professors to be more researchers than teachers to achieve his goal of doing 70% research and 30% teaching.
The new teachers have also committed themselves to using modern educational approaches, integrating digital technology to enrich the learning experience of students. They will receive in-depth training on online learning platforms and technology tools to ensure a smooth transition to virtual education. This work that will be done on the teaching system and the educational vision of the UVCI will be provided by UVCI trainers. Professor KOUAME FERNAND, Vice-President of the Virtual University of Côte d'Ivoire, has also asked the new researchers to use the digital DNA of the UVCI.
The President expressed his confidence in the future of the UVCI: “With this new team of teachers, we are more than ever determined to provide accessible, flexible and high-quality education. Our students will benefit from the vast knowledge and diversified experience of these professionals. ”
This initiative is an integral part of the UVCI’s goal to position itself as a leader in digital education in West Africa, offering academic programs that meet the needs of the contemporary labour market.
UVCI students will have the opportunity to interact with their teachers via a variety of digital platforms, allowing them flexible learning tailored to their individual schedules and needs.
With this new dynamic, the university hopes not only to increase its student workforce but also to strengthen its reputation as an innovative and forward-looking institution, responding to the challenges of globalization and digitalization of education.
The academic year, scheduled for this month of September, looks rich in challenges and opportunities for the Virtual University of Côte d’Ivoire and its new teachers, ready to draw together the contours of the future of online education in Côte d’Ivoire.
